What You will do:
- Serve as the primary focal point for all local SHEQ activities and initiatives.
- Promote and ensure full compliance with BSP HSE policies, procedures, standards and applicable legal requirements.
- Act as a visible SHEQ leader, setting a positive example and promoting a strong culture of quality, health, safety, security and environmental awareness across all CTI personnel.
- Develop, maintain and implement a SHEQ induction and onboarding programme for all new employees, contractors and visitors as applicable.
- Review, update and monitor the effectiveness of SHEQ policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, ensuring alignment with BSP and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain CTI emergency preparedness and response procedures, ensuring they remain current, tested and aligned with BSP/local requirements.
- Participate in and support internal and external SHEQ audits, inspections and assessments, including preparation, execution and close-out of findings.
- Initiate, develop and support SHEQ improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall SHEQ performance and reducing risk.
- Maintain, analyse and report on SHEQ statistics, KPIs and trends, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare, coordinate and chair monthly departmental HSE meetings, including documentation and follow-up actions.
- Support and participate in incident, accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain an effective tracking and close-out system for incidents, near misses, audits, inspections, SHEQ visits and corrective actions.
- Identify SHEQ training needs and support the planning, delivery and evaluation of SHEQ-related training and awareness programmes.
- Maintain accurate PPE records and inventory, ensuring compliance with SHEQ requirements, inspection schedules and replacement criteria.
- Liaise with Regional Manager(s) on SHEQ matters, recommendations and improvement actions.
- Respond to and support the resolution of SHEQ-related queries, concerns or complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote CTI's SHEQ performance and initiatives within OSC and other relevant forums, including presentations and SHEQ communications.
- Actively promote safe behaviours and ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel.
- Support contractor and supplier SHEQ management, including compliance monitoring where applicable.
- Promote and contribute to continuous improvement in SHEQ systems, processes and performance.
- Participate in SHEQ exchanges, forums and best-practice sharing initiatives.
- Office-based with regular exposure to onshore and offshore field environments.
- Light physical effort required, including occasional lifting (up to 10 kg) and standing or walking for limited periods.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, requiring strict adherence to SHEQ procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
Job Requirements
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' SHEQ experience within oil & gas operations and/or chemical services.
- Competent computer skills, including the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ management principles, systems, practices, techniques and tools.
- Working knowledge of industry standards, operational controls and regulatory requirements applicable to the role.
- Ability to analyse data, prepare reports and present SHEQ information clearly and accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and promote high quality, health, safety, security and environmental standards.
- Experience supporting incident reporting, investigations, audits and corrective action tracking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, contractors and management.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships and operate successfully within a team environment.
- High level of personal organisation, initiative and drive for results, with the ability to work independently.
