As a Senior Civil Drafter, you will provide technical and people leadership to a team of civil drafters while contributing hands-on to the layout, design, and modelling of civil roads and infrastructure projects. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll apply advanced drafting techniques and sound engineering judgement to deliver high-quality concept and detailed designs that meet client, statutory, and Australian Standards requirements.

Your work will play a key role in improving efficiency, cost control, and overall project delivery-supporting both project success and business performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver civil roads drafting, design, and modelling across concept and detailed design phases
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, adapting where required
• Contribute to large and complex multidisciplinary projects (including services, structures, and geotechnical elements)
• Review drawings and models to ensure technical quality and compliance
• Liaise with clients, statutory authorities, and external consultants
• Coordinate closely with engineers, designers, and project teams
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes
• Manage workloads to meet agreed time, cost, quality, and billability targets
• Work in accordance with Australian Standards, company procedures, and industry best practice

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in civil drafting and design
• A proven track record leading or mentoring small drafting/design teams
• Diploma of Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) - preferred
• Strong capability in Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD
• Solid experience working to Australian Standards
• Confidence reviewing technical deliverables and providing constructive guidance
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• A customer-focused mindset and a desire to improve how work is delivered
• Sound planning skills with an understanding of budgets and commercial drivers
