Your Apprenticeship Development Plan will start at our Manchester Manufacturing site where you will firstly and most importantly
become part of our team. You will gain your initial understanding of our business processes - taking part in a rotational plan moving
throughout our different departments. Starting with our Sales Team, you will see the lifecycle of our products right through to the
completion and shipping of a manufactured component ready to be used.
Your hands-on academic training plan is where learning and development really begins. You will take part in a 4 year training plan where
NOV will monitor your progress, supporting and guiding you to become a successful and first class engineering apprentice.
Academic Year One: You will be in college and on site spending time working towards your hands-on NVQ Level 2 Qualification. Your
NVQ Level 2 will create the foundations for progression - understanding general fundamental engineering processes and requirements.
Academic Year Two: You will commence training leading to a Level 3 Diploma and you will be onsite at Manchester where you will be
part of the NOV team and use their knowledge to further your development - you will gain first-hand exposure in our plant, engineering
teams and research & development lab where you will develop an understanding of our procedures, policies and values.
Academic Year Three: You will be qualified to Level 3 Diploma enabling you to function as a member of the engineering team, working
on lab testing, report production and general design tasks, using the relevant tools and software.
Academic Year Four: At this stage we would look to progress you into further education, leading to a Higher level Qualification (HE).
