The Motorman assists Engineers and Mechanics with watchkeeping, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of machinery and heavy‑lift equipment aboard a heavy lift crane vessel. The role includes performing daily equipment checks, cleaning, lubrication, and supporting deck and crane operations while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all technical tasks.

• Assist Engineers and Mechanics with watchkeeping, machinery repairs, overhauls, and routine maintenance.
• Perform daily inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and general housekeeping in the engine room and machinery spaces.
• Monitor machinery condition, report faults, and inform duty engineers of any irregularities or required consumables.
• Support deck and crane operations involving hydraulic heavy‑lift equipment as directed.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly equipment checks and perform corrective actions according to maintenance plans.
• Assist in maintenance of vessel systems, including drainage, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and accommodation or galley equipment.
• Properly store and secure tools, spare parts, and equipment to maintain safe, hazard‑free work areas.

Requirements

Requirements for the job:

• UK national or UK Frontier Worker Permit holder (UK FWP);
• BOSIET, HUET, CA-EBS;
• CoC Engine Room Watchkeeping (III/4);
• STCW Basic Safety training (SOLAS);
• STCW Security Awareness training (A-VI/6-1);
• Confined Space Entry;
• Passport, Seaman's book
