Primary Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE processes, procedures, and the EPS Global HSE Management System (HSE 360)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead or support incident investigations and drive injury-prevention initiatives
- Partner with leadership and employees to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Oversee environmental compliance, including storm water, air permits, and waste management
- Manage Hazard Communication programs and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Job Duties
- Conduct and document HSE inspections, audits, and compliance activities
- Deliver HSE orientation and ongoing training for employees
- Review and update HSE policies, procedures, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Initiate and track work orders for HSE-related equipment and repairs
- Coordinate with HR and Workers' Compensation on injury and case management
- Serve as primary contact during internal and external HSE audits and inspections
- Lead toolbox talks and participate in HSE meetings and initiatives
- Perform a mix of administrative (40-50%) and production floor (50-60%) responsibilities
- Travel approximately 5% annually
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HSE, science, or a related technical field required
- Minimum of 2 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- ASP, CSP, or CSHO certification preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations (including CFR Titles 29 and 40)
- Strong communication, training, and organizational skills
