The Operations Training Coordinator collaborates with the Shift Supervisors, Control or Work team, Operations Leadership, Learning and Skills team and Emergency Response team to manage the Operations team training and competence in compliance with bp and industry standards.

Job Description
The Operations Training Coordinator oversees and conducts the efficient and timely execution of training and competence activities for the terminal operations teams to support safe and reliable operations. The Operations Training Coordinator collaborates with the Shift Supervisors, Control or Work team, Operations Leadership, Learning and Skills team and Emergency Response team to manage the Operations team training and competence in compliance with bp and industry standards.
What You Will Deliver
- Conduct Training and Assessment activities for the Operations team across the Terminal operational areas including Jetties, Tankfarm, Utilities, Waste Water Treatment and Control Room
- Schedule Training and Assessment activities to sustain requirements, deliver agreed upskilling plan, onboarding new technicians.
- Ensure Operations Training and Assessment materials are fit for purpose.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across bp and industry partners to implement best practices, support benchmarking initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the business and understand strategic objectives to develop and manage the Operations Training Plan.
- Conduct Operations Training and Assessments in service of the Operations Training Plan.
- Schedule Training and Assessment activities to deliver the Operations Training Plan, including internal training, external training, internal assessments, internal on the job learning, ER drills and skills training.
- Accountable for the quality and currency of the Operations Training and Assessment material to ensure fit for purpose.
- Conduct self-verification and oversight activities to reinforce and uphold a strong culture of safety and quality.
- Provide Operations training support for management of change, equipment return to service and learning from investigations.
- Onboarding of new team members to the operations team.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Experience working in field operations role/s in oil and gas facility or similar industry.
- Experience in control room operations oil and gas facility or similar industry.
- The individual must be competent or be capable of attaining competency across all of experience including control room and field operations.
- Experience in delivering on job training in oil and gas facility or similar industry.
- Experience in conducting workplace assessments in oil and gas facility or similar industry.
- Experience in auditing training and assessment materials.
- Strong planning, budgeting and organisational skills.
- influencing, communication, team management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence outcomes across all organisational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
