This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D) employees and support them in meeting the agreed R&D targets. Each day, you will coach and develop the team. You will also showcase your skills by participating in managing technologies, platforms, and Intellectual Property.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business in Drive Products in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• The Cyber Security Specialist is knowledgeable in product related security issues and assists other roles in writing cyber security requirements, assisting with secure design, secure coding practices, security testing of software for products or systems and by assisting the product maintenance with e.g., vulnerability handling.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and security testing to identify potential risks.
• Design, configure, and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection platforms.
• Establish security guidelines, policies, and frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Provide technical leadership for the implementation of security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Train employees on cybersecurity best practices and raise awareness on emerging threats

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 10 to 15 years of proven experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in a product-based environment.
• Strong expertise in network security, cloud security, and application security.
• Extensive knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and OWASP.
• Experience with security tools like Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nessus, and Metasploit.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
