JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently looking for a highly experienced Principal Planning Engineer to lead and manage project planning activities across full EPC and EPCI project lifecycles.

• Lead and manage all planning, scheduling, and progress control activities across full EPC and EPCI lifecycle
• Ensure integrated, realistic, and risk‑based schedules across offshore (topside & jacket), subsea pipelines, and onshore facilities
• Act as the single point of accountability for project planning strategy, performance, and schedule assurance
• Develop and maintain Level 1-4 integrated schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning
• Establish and maintain planning control structures and WBS aligned across all project scopes
• Ensure effective interfaces and interdependencies between offshore, subsea, and onshore activities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Drive schedule integration across multiple contractors, vendors, and work packages
  • Manage critical interfaces between topside & jacket fabrication/installation, subsea pipeline works, and onshore readiness
  • Develop and maintain baseline and live schedules using Primavera P6, including progress updates and reporting
  • Analyse schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and support development of mitigation and recovery plans
  • Act as client-facing focal point for planning, progress reporting, and schedule performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with Wood HSE, Quality Assurance, and governance requirements
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and competency development for junior planning personnel, supporting nationalisation initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 12 years of project planning experience within Oil & Gas EPC / EPCI projects
• Proven experience across offshore (topside & jacket), subsea, and onshore facilities
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Strong knowledge of integrated scheduling, WBS development, and critical path analysis
• Experience in client-facing roles, including progress reporting and schedule reviews
• Demonstrated capability to lead planning teams and mentor junior planners
• Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis and recovery planning
• Familiarity with Wood HSE, Quality, and assurance requirements
• Professional certification (PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent) is an advantage
