Key Activities:
- Responsible and accountable to assist all maintenance activities for all instrumentation issues in Power Plant side by ensuring maintenance activities are integrated in accordance with the Production Unit Asset Leadership team's plans.
- Responsible to review and support new project related to instrumentation issues (operation philosophy, operation and maintenance manual, control narrative, etc) and share with the team.
- Develop and maintain maintenance program in based on engineering standard and design best practice.
- Responsible and accountable for organization communicating expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security to Maintenance team.
- Maintain communications with Operations Department, Surface Technical, Project and other related documents to maintain equipment reliability.
- Plans, updates, and oversees all activities within his or her areas of responsibility according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures. Special emphasis must be placed on health, safety, and the environment.
- Develops and maintains open communications on instrumentation issues (for example, safe work practices, training, materials, and others) with peers and other sections.
- Communicate problems and solutions to resolve instrumentation problems with Power Plant Lead
- Advise Power Plant Lead of any issues and risks on plant in the field with regards to instrumentation equipment condition and future maintenance issue with respect to operational and long-term spares.
- Supervise and participate in the on-the-job training of Utility Maintenance Person as needed.
- Conduct a failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed process system and sequence of event check and reporting.
- Look for opportunities to optimize operations and implement them accordingly.
- Verify system operation and performance after implementing the recommendation.
- Provide technical evaluations of material, equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Review project proposal and detail designed for new and/or existing facilities.
- Participating in site Emergency Response activities
- Report incidents both internally and externally (as per the Reporting Matrix) and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines
- Provide knowledge and expertise to progress engineering through design, project set-up, construction and commissioning.
- Provide instrumentation engineering solutions for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting on all instrumentation that installed on the field ensuring maintenance activities performed are integrated in accordance with the production unit asset leadership plans.
- Participation in resolving project engineering and construction issues, regular interface with contractors and management.
- Troubleshoot and maintain control valve, fire and gas detector, analyzer, flow meter, vibration sensor, temperature transmitter, pressure transmitter and related equipment.
- Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Interpret and/or modify PLC control logic as necessary, experience with Invensys, Delta V and Alan Bradley equipment
- Focal point for RCFA reporting on all Instrumentation issues.
- Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain instrumentation apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work. Understand Aconex as engineering database application.
- Supervise all Shutdown activities pertaining to the Instrumentation discipline if needed.
- Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications.
- Support the repair or replace faulty instrumentation equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, and panels.
- Support Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning (installation and calibration) of the Plant (during installation and start-up of the Plant)
- Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety procedures.
- Assist in maintenance projects providing contractor supervision.
- Have knowledge and experience in EX certified equipment installation and maintenance.
- Observe safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Support the application of Policy in relation to the Drug and Alcohol policy, Company Ethics, Award conditions, etc, whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates.
- Initiate and participate in Site Emergency Drills to raise awareness of Emergency Response procedures, and conduct team debriefs on conclusion of the drills. Be available 24/7 to address any emergencies or issues that may arise to ensure uninterrupted power generation.

Qualification:
- More than 10 years' experience in the Up-stream or Mid-Stream of the Oil and Gas project/operations engineering business
- HNC/Degree in Instrumentation
- Considerable knowledge of instrumentation systems, control valve, fire and gas detector, analyzer, flow meter, vibration sensor, temperature transmitter, pressure transmitter, wireless transmitter and related equipment.
- Good knowledge of instrumentation codes and regulations
- Understanding engineering drawings, schematics, and service manuals to troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment including load calculations for cable, relays, transformers generators etc.
- Ability to maintain records and report on work accomplished.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work unscheduled hours during emergencies and/or unusual situations (24 hour/ 7 days week).
- Considerable knowledge of the approved methods, practices, code requirements and safety standards, including equipment, tools and materials of the trade.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
Skills:
- Quality Audits and Inspections experience
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with those encountered in the course of work.
- Read and understand P&ID, single line drawings, termination drawings, EX documentation, Certification documents, manuals, drawing, specifications, and processes diagrams pertaining to oil and gas industry.
- Organize, plan and complete projects.
- Work with minimal supervision; schedule own time according to established priorities; work under less detailed instructions to complete assignments.
- Hands-on experience in Oil and Gas facilities
- Experience and ability to find complex instrument and instrumentation systems
- Experienced in working in a 24/7 quick reaction team for any E&I plant trip issues.
- Proven supervisory experience with excellent behaviors and the ability to plan and measure.
- Excellent communications (oral & written) in English Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
- Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment.
- Has capability to create good reports and perform analysis for some case.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities.
- Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
- Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes (PTW, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment).
- Understanding of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
