In which organization will you work as a QC Microbiology Technician (M/F)?

We are currently looking, on behalf of one of our clients specialized in the pharmaceutical industry, for a QC Microbiology Technician (M/F), based in Occitanie, for a duration of 7 months, renewable.

Assignment Context

Within a pharmaceutical company operating in a regulated environment, the QC Microbiology Technician (M/F) will work within the Quality Control laboratory, performing microbiological activities related to controlled environments.

In this context, he/she plays a key role in conducting microbiological sampling and analyses, as well as managing associated documentation, ensuring full compliance with quality and regulatory requirements (GMP/cGMP).

QC Microbiology Technician (M/F): What will be your missions and responsibilities?

Main Mission

In close collaboration with Quality and Production teams, you will be responsible for carrying out microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities in compliance with applicable procedures and regulatory requirements.

Main Activities

• Perform microbiological sampling in controlled areas (environment, equipment, utilities)

• Conduct environmental monitoring activities

• Perform microbiological analyses: bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, microorganism identification

• Carry out specific tests: TOC (Total Organic Carbon), conductivity, growth promotion test, swabbing

• Participate in aseptic environment activities (PPE usage, steam sampling, etc.)

• Draft, update, and manage quality documentation (SOPs, procedures, forms)

• Manage deviations and Out of Specification (OOS) results

• Support translation and adaptation of global procedures when required

• Collaborate with project, quality, and production teams

What profile and skills are required for this position?

Education & Experience

• Degree in microbiology or equivalent

• Mandatory experience in microbiology

• Experience in Quality Control is an advantage

• Experience working in controlled environments (cleanrooms) is a plus

• Good knowledge of GMP/cGMP requirements

• Technical English (reading and writing)

• French: fluent / native

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of microbiological sampling and testing techniques

• Experience in environmental monitoring

• Proficiency in microbiological tests (bioburden, endotoxins, identification, etc.)

• Knowledge of quality documentation practices

• Good understanding of controlled and aseptic environments

• Familiarity with quality processes: deviations, OOS, documentation
