Job Description:
The planner creates short and long-term plan at item/location level of planned stock movements across the distribution network in order to meet customer service and operational targets. Planner is responsible for providing analytical support to the planning process. Provides accurate information to both business customers and support teams through the correct use of all information technology systems. Displays flexibility and adaptability to work with and assist other teams within the organization.
Creates a feasible plan of what needs to be shipped from the different locations across the network to ensure that stock availability is maximized, and stock obsolescence is minimized
Hold overall responsibility for managing planning processes for the items in their portfolio, ensuring that we have the right products, at the right time and in the right place to meet customer demand and operational targets. Manage any shortages of goods to maximize sales volumes and initiate continuous improvement plans/ corrective actions as necessary to meet demand plans.
The jobholder is empowered to make decisions to balance or resolve supply issues, considering supply capacity/capabilities, procurement lead times, service level expectations, and working capital constraints under uncertain circumstances-such as sudden increases or changes in customer demand. These decisions are vital to maintaining service excellence and achieving the Company's objectives.

Job Responsibility
- The role ensures operational continuity and efficient supply chain management while aligning with organizational standards.
- Consolidate monthly forecasts to create forward plans for timely procurement of finished products and raw materials, ensuring dynamic demand is met without compromising service levels. Focus on IFOT, inventory metrics (stock days, closing volume, days of cover), and minimizing slow-moving or obsolete stock (SLOB).
- Participate in S&OP and S&OE forums and act as the plant coordinator, ensuring SKU setup for products, raw materials, and packaging in plant systems. Accurate planning data configuration in JDE and related tools is essential.
- Supports supply schedules for timely delivery of materials and finished goods, monitors sales volumes and stock levels, and adjusts schedules as needed. Monthly material forecasting and communication with key stakeholders to ensure supply continuity.
- The role prepares and analyzes data on volumes, costs, margins, and capacities to identify improvement opportunities. It assists in settling accounts for purchases and sales and supports change management events and NPIs across the supply chain.
- The individual models BP's Code of Conduct, supports cost minimization, and ensures adherence to quality standards while providing risk and shortage updates during supply reviews.
Job Experience and Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in lubricants, CPG, or chemical industry.
- Strong functional and leadership capability in demand and supply planning.
- Fluent in English with language proficiency in language they support (i.e., Chinese, Japanese speficially Read, Write and Speak).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant business experience with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve business outcomes.
- Skilled at meeting tight deadlines and handling challenging situations confidently.
- Proven ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams to achieve results, solve problems, and improve processes.
- Independent judgment and decision-making capability.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and hands-on experience in supply planning, DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes.
- Skills & Competencies
- Mastery level in Planning Management including Supply Planning.
- Skilled level in Demand Control, Communication, Partnership and Teamwork, Business Awareness / Models
- Skilled level in using business tools like MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and ERP tools like SAP, Kinaxis.
