Role Overview:
Global Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Lead provides strategic technical leadership, governance, and subject matter expertise across Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene. The role ensures effective health risk management, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate health and hygiene standards, supporting workforce protection across multiple sites and operations.
The role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of occupational health and industrial hygiene programmes. It provides expert guidance to operational teams, assures compliance with legal and corporate requirements, and integrates health risk management into operational and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership for occupational health and industrial hygiene programmes across sites.
• Develop and implement risk-based medical surveillance and health monitoring strategies.
• Lead industrial hygiene exposure assessment programmes covering chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.
• Establish and maintain OH and IH standards, procedures, and technical guidance.
• Provide expert advice on hierarchy-of-control implementation, including engineering controls, administrative measures, and PPE.
• Oversee audit readiness, self-verification, and assurance activities related to OH and IH.
• Analyze health and IH performance data, preparing trend analyses and governance reports for leadership.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders as the OH/IH subject matter expert.
Summary Decision Rights
Delegated Authority in line with corporate health governance.

Education:
Degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, or related discipline.

Education:

- Professional registration or certification (e.g. COHN, CIH, ROH, SAIOH or equivalent)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Experience:
- Experience leading occupational health and industrial hygiene programmes in complex operational environments.

- Exposure science and risk assessment; OH & IH legislation; Governance and audit leadership; Data analysis and reporting; Stakeholder engagement; Strategic Programme design.
