The Mozambique LNG Project, led by our client - multinational energy operator, is a $18B onshore LNG development in Northern Mozambique. Facilities include 2 LNG trains (13 mtpa), storage, marine facilities, utilities, and extensive site infrastructure. The project is remote, with peak personnel of ~15,000, and is financed by high-profile lenders

Job Description

• Lead and coordinate all project control activities (cost, schedule, risk, and change management)
• Oversee project budget, forecasting, and cost reporting
• Manage and monitor integrated project schedules and contractor interfaces
• Ensure effective risk management and change control processes
• Supervise and support a multi-location Project Controls team
• Provide clear reporting and performance insights to project management and stakeholders
• Coordinate with Contracts & Procurement and other project functions
• Deputise for the Onshore Project Services Manager when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management
• Minimum 10 years' experience in project controls within major oil & gas projects
• Proven experience on large-scale project developments
• Strong knowledge of cost engineering, planning, and scheduling methodologies
• Experience with partner, government, and lender reporting environments
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines

Additional Information

Initially based in Milan for up to 6 months before transferring to Maputo, Mozambique on an Expat residential basis. Will also involve regular site visits to Afungi Site which is a remote location in Northern Mozambique
