You will build strong cross‑functional relationships, quickly adapt to different team dynamics, and confidently operate in a fast‑paced, multicultural, high‑tech setting. Relationship building with external suppliers and understanding the interest from other stakeholders whilst delivering value for Shell.

Success in this role is defined by your ability to create compelling, data‑driven PowerPoint presentations, develop requirements for complex analytical dashboards (e.g., Power BI), and produce high‑quality strategy documents, business plans, and executive materials. You will be comfortable working through ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and shifting focus as needed while maintaining sight of the bigger picture, managing risk, and supporting informed decision‑making across the organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Create clear, compelling, and data‑driven PowerPoint presentations that translate complex information into executive‑ready insights with the ability to take better decisions around dilemmas with the right trade offs.
  • Provide end‑to‑end oversight of supplier management including delivery activities across a global, virtual operating model, ensuring coordination, alignment, and timely execution.
  • Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships across functions and regions to support effective collaboration and decision‑making.
  • Proactively take ownership of workstreams as a self‑starter, quickly understanding team dynamics and operating models.
  • Operate effectively within a complex, high‑tech, and multicultural corporate environment, adapting communication and approach as needed.
  • Gather, define, and document requirements for complex analytical and reporting solutions, including dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI).
  • Produce high‑quality strategy documents, business plans, and executive materials, including Notes for Information and Notes for Discussion.
  • Navigate ambiguity and evolving priorities with confidence, applying structured thinking and sound judgement.
  • Balance competing demands whilst calling them out, shift focus when required, and make timely decisions while maintaining oversight of the broader organizational goals, risks, and uncertainties.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field; a Master's degree or advanced sourcing/procurement specialization is a plus.
  • 5 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in IT Supplier Management and Sourcing, including professional services, supplier relationship and performance management, risk assessment, and capability evaluation across large, complex spend portfolios.
  • Strong background in IT procurement and contract management, with the ability to structure effective commercial models, service‑level agreements, and mutually beneficial supplier arrangements.
  • Experience supporting external contractor sourcing at scale within enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels using data‑driven narratives and clear recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with experience translating data into actionable insights and informed decisions.
  • Solid understanding of commercial constructs and risk considerations, balanced with attention to detail and the ability to assess broader business impact.
  • Familiarity with key platforms such as SAP Fieldglass, Ariba/Agiloft, and ServiceNow. Ability to work with Co Pilot is a must have.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including interactions with senior leadership and external suppliers.
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset with the ability to purposefully challenge assumptions, navigate ambiguity, and identify alternative paths forward.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills, emotional intelligence, and commitment to continuous learning.

Shell in India

Shell is a diversified energy company in India with 13,000 employees, and presence in Integrated Gas, Downstream, Power, Renewable and Upstream. Additionally, we have deep capabilities in R&D, digitalization, and business operations.

Our global strategy, Powering Progress, is designed to generate value for our shareholders, customers, and the wider society, and focuses on creating more value with less emissions. The strategy supports our purpose of providing more and cleaner energy solutions, with the aim of profitably transforming Shell into a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050. As India moves towards its target of net-zero emissions by 2070, Shell India aims to play a leading role in securing vital energy for today, while investing in, and helping to build, the energy system of the future through strategic investments in the country.

Our Lubricants business serves over 50,000 consumers through a strong network of over 200 distributors, and operates an end-to-end value chain that spans conceptualization, development, and production at a world-class blending plant at Taloja. Through our 350-plus retail stations, we offer an integrated mobility experience including fuels, cafes, and convenience stores, with a prominent network of EV recharging facilities.

Shell owns and operates an LNG re-gasification terminal at Hazira, Surat, with a capacity of 5 MTPA and an LNG truck-loading unit that plays a crucial role in helping meet India's growing demand for gas across sectors. In 2022, Shell acquired Spring Energy in a $1.55 billion deal to build an integrated energy transition business in the country. Spring is a leading renewable energy company in India which develops and manages solar, wind, and hybrid power generation facilities and infrastructure.

Our three capability centers across Bangalore and Chennai serve as a technology and innovation powerhouse for Shell globally, working as a delivery engine for core technical, digital, and finance processes: pioneering digital innovation and cutting-edge technologies across the energy sector. We also have strong academic partnerships and collaborations with leading universities and technology institutes to accelerate decarbonization efforts within the energy sector.

We are committed to positively contributing to the communities in which we operate through programs on STEM Education, Skilling, and Livelihood across India. We nurture and invest in startups developing initiatives focused on accelerating energy innovation through programs such as Shell E4 and Shell Eco-marathon. We also have strategic investments in new energy companies such as Husk Power, d.light, Orb Energy, and Cleantech Solar.
