Short Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with a solid background in the Maritime sector (mandatory) to take ownership of the HR agenda at a local level and act as a key partner to the business in a highly specialized, operational environment.

Function Description

This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and people advisory, ensuring that talent, organizational capabilities, and workforce planning actively support business performance and future growth.

As HR Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and execute the local HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operations, and global HR frameworks.
  • Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers on organizational design, performance, workforce planning, and employee relations.
  • Own the end‑to‑end talent agenda, including attraction, development, succession planning, and retention of critical roles.
  • Drive and support organizational change and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective change management and local adoption.
  • Oversee workforce planning and resource optimization, ensuring the right skills and capabilities are available to meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensure strong HR governance, data quality, and analytics, leveraging insights to measure impact and support decision‑making.
  • Guarantee full compliance with Mexican labor legislation, company policies, and best HR practices, while supporting complex employee relations cases.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally growing from HRBP to broader HR leadership roles.
  • Mandatory industry background in maritime, Oil & Gas, energy or complex engineering environments.
  • Proven experience leading strategic HR initiatives, talent management programs, and organizational projects.
  • Strong capability to operate as a business partner and people leader, balancing strategy with execution.
  • Solid experience working with HRIS/ERP systems, data analysis, Excel, and workforce metrics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Experience working in international or multicultural environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mexican labor law and employee relations.
