Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior IS Technical Business Consultant to join our Core IS Technology and Platforms function. In this pivotal role, you will partner closely with internal business stakeholders to understand their needs, shape complex infrastructure demands, and translate them into solutions that leverage ABB's global IS services. Acting as both a trusted advisor and a technical evangelist, you will champion reuse of enterprise capabilities, drive transparency, innovate and ensure alignment with our IS strategic goals.

The work model for the role is: #Li-hybrid

This role is contributing to the Core IS Technology and Platforms function. Main stakeholders are Global Infrastructure Leads, CIO, Service Owners/Managers, Design and Build teams, and Service Delivery Managers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as the primary technical consultant and business relationship manager for non-standard IS demand, aligning business needs with central IT capabilities.
• Proactively identifying, qualifying, and shaping complex demand opportunities, ensuring they align with IS strategic goals and capabilities
• Partnering with the business to evangelize IS services, creating transparency around existing offerings and promoting reuse over bespoke solutions
• Serving as technical expert in the subjects covered under the Service scopes especially: Cloud, Datacenter Hosting, Networking.
• Developing and managing the complex demand pipeline across business functions, ensuring prioritization in alignment with enterprise architecture and IS delivery capabilities.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/ technical area
• 5+ Experience in infrastructure and business sales/ consultancy
• Certifications required: ITSM, ITIL4
• Certifications preferred: Project/ Portfolio Management
• Must have demonstrated technical knowledge in areas of Cloud, On-Premise Hosting, Networking at an enterprise level
