Position Title: Billing & Finance Specialist
Reports To: Finance Director, Europe
Location: Marousi - Athens, Greece

Responsibilities

Basic Function of Position:
Acquires all related approvals, creates, posts and monitors the Accounts Receivable documents for our companies in Southern Europe, Balkans & Turkey CIS. Ensures the accuracy of monthly revenue recognition and manages project databases. Supports accounting procedures, investigates discrepancies and provides AR data. Works closely with the Operations Department and all the Finance teams on a daily basis.
Specific Accountabilities / Duties
For Southern Europe, Balkans & Turkey CIS:

• Creates client invoices according to company practices, submits invoices to clients
• Participates in the revenue recognition process
• Creates, maintains and updates client and project databases
• Research client discrepancies and past-due AR amounts
• Investigates discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of charges
• Participates in the Internal Controls processes
• Assists Commercial Finance Manager in reconciling revenue accounts
• Collaborates with the Auditors (internal and external) and assists in gathering the required documentation during the audits

Qualifications

• University Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Min 4 years of professional experience in a financial or in accounting department
• Solid understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting and bookkeeping
• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
• Teamwork spirit and ability to manage deadlines
• Fluent Greek & English speaker
• Previous experience in a multinational Company will be considered an asset
