The Mozambique LNG Project, led by our client - multinational energy operator, is a $18B onshore LNG development in Northern Mozambique. Facilities include 2 LNG trains (13 mtpa), storage, marine facilities, utilities, and extensive site infrastructure. The project is remote, with peak personnel of ~15,000, and is financed by high-profile lenders

Job Description

• Coordinate and supervise Layer 3 convoy and logistics movements
• Ensure implementation of VPSHR and HSE standards across operations
• Conduct daily security assessments and threat level reporting
• Liaise with military, police, contractors, and local authorities
• Oversee contractor convoy organization and escort arrangements
• Support socioeconomic and stabilization activities within assigned areas
• Monitor and report security incidents, escalation risks, and compliance issues
• Ensure adherence to TEPMA1 security SOPs and convoy regulations

Qualifications

• Military or Police background (minimum Senior NCO level)
• Experience working with security forces, contractors, and joint operations
• Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Swahili (local language knowledge an advantage)
• Strong understanding of operational security in high-risk environments
• Basic computer skills (Windows systems, reporting tools)
• Valid driver's license and passport
• No criminal record
• Ability to work in remote tropical conditions with 24/7 operational readiness
• Strong discipline in safety, reporting, and procedural compliance
