Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

As a Custodial Supervisor Worker you will work alone or as a member of a crew, performing a full range of janitorial duties and supervisory of which the following are typical: Supervise the cleaning staff in their daily task and ensure that project requirements are met, take inventory of and manage cleaning supplies. Also Sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, using heavy industrial powered equipment. Daily moderate physical activity is expected and required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Notes conditions of various rooms and reports to supervisor of restrooms, any broken windows/mirrors, water leaks, clogged toilet bowls or drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance work and/or repairs.
• Maintains stock of cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment to perform custodial duties.
• Notifies supervisor when more supplies need to be ordered or replaced.
• Notifies supervisor when equipment needs repair or be replaced.
• Adjusts/oils/cleans powered equipment; changes brushes, rollers and buffers, replaces filter bags, cleans all filters and other attachments on the power equipment as needed.
• Vacuums/ sweeps/mops/scrubs/strips all floors using brooms, mops, vacuums, light and heavy industrial types of floor cleaners; dusts/replaces fixtures/wipes down and cleans all areas of the facility.
• Light lifting of items weighing up to 30 kilograms.
• Ensures that cleaning staff follow all safety measures.
• Moderate exposure to various environmental factors including dust, wide temperature ranges, noise, vibrations, fumes, harsh chemicals, odors, pollens, grasses, grease, machinery and moving parts.
• Willingness to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have at least six months commercial, or industrial custodial work experience.
• Must have ability to communicate in native language.
• High school completion or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory duties
• Spanish Class B driver's license.
• English Reading Level I, Written Level I, Verbal Level I
