The Role will manage the Packaging Lead and drive the packaging activities for respective area, driving KPIs aligned with business goals and expectations by working with packaging service providers. Work closely with Cross functional teams such as Logistics, Contractors, Planning, sourcing, manufacturing and quality to meet packaging output and solve business problems.

Qualification/Requirements-
The Ideal candidate-
Experienced in driving packaging operations for the site working closely with packaging suppliers, production planning , warehouse and Quality team. Possess technical knowledge of packaging especially corrugation and wooden packaging and having hands on experience of packaging design.
Preferred Qualification -
Diploma in packaging or mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in packaging preferably in manufacturing, automobile or aerospace industry.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities-
- Supervise all packaging suppliers to ensure quality and on time delivery of packages for dispatch.
- Ensuring packing activities are meeting EHS guidelines & safety measures.
- Co-ordinations with QC team to ensure quality of the packages as per process.
- Ensuring proper storage for packing materials in respective Division.
- Development of Packing SOP, Check sheets for all packaging activities. Fulfillment of any new requirement in packaging following GE aerospace processes.
- Taking necessary actions upon receipt Customer Complaints regarding packaging of the goods.
- Facilitate FGIP Inventory transactions to packaging location in ERP
- Co-ordination with OTR to get actual build plan for quarter and cover it into meaningful forecast for packaging suppliers.
- Punching Purchase Requisitions as per build plan and making sure Purchase Order is available before hand.
- Monthly reconciliation of packing and timely billing compliance.
- Coordinate with all packing suppliers for daily operations and working with supplier leadership for problem solving.
- Development of packing parameters for new parts with co-ordination with supplier's design team and ensure packaging validation and timely PR/PO.
- Co-ordinations with Indirect Sourcing team for various agreement's with packaging suppliers.
Qualification/Requirements-
- Diploma in Packaging /Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Packaging. Experience required from Manufacturing/ Automobile /Aerospace industry or packaging industry primarily dealing with corrugation and wooden packaging.
- Experience in Packaging designing of wooden and corrugated crates.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and Presentation skills
- Experience in handling Packaging service providers and external and internal customer.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
- Experience in Oracle transactions will be added advantage.
- Ready to work in shift operations.
- Knowledge of lean tools is required
