We are currently recruiting for PMC Senior Construction Engineer (I&C) role to support our ADNOC Gas project. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Construction Supervision & Execution

• Supervise EPC contractors for all I&C activities (cabling, panels, DCS/PLC, field instruments)
• Ensure work aligns with FEED/EPC scope and construction plans
• Monitor site progress and productivity

2. Contractor Management (Core PMC Role)

• Act as client representative (ADNOC PMT) on site
• Coordinate with EPC contractors from construction → commissioning → handover
• Review method statements, ITPs, procedures

3. Technical & Design Review

• Review engineering drawings and documents
• Provide constructability input during design stage
• Identify technical issues and resolve with engineering teams

4. Planning & Coordination

• Support construction schedules and work sequencing
• Interface with:
  • Engineering team
  • QA/QC
  • HSE
  • Operations team

5. Pre-commissioning & Commissioning

• Oversee loop checks, instrument calibration, FAT/SAT
• Ensure systems are ready for start-up and handover
• Participate in completion systems and punch list clearance

6. HSE & Quality Compliance

• Enforce ADNOC HSE standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Project specs
  • International codes
  • Quality standards

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly reports
• Track progress, issues, and risks
• Support change management and project controls

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in I&C construction, with at least 5-7 years in a PMC or consultant role.
• Proven experience on onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or large industrial projects.
• Deep knowledge of:
  • DCS / PLC / SCADA systems
  • Field instrumentation
  • Hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Construction & commissioning workflows
  • HSE systems
  • Project coordination
• Strong leadership and site coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and work under tight schedules.
• Onshore project site-based role.
• May require extended site presence and rotation schedules depending on project requirements.
