Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide accounting, reporting, and consolidation expertise. Each day, you will support in accounting and reporting matters to business/reporting units through resolution of accounting and reporting questions, financial statement preparation and review follow-up on accounting issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.

This role is contributing to AUMA division as Financial Specialist in Mexico cluster which also includes the countries Colombia and Panamá. Main stakeholders are financial/controlling area

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Contributing to the definition, implementation, and improvement of accounting policies relevant to your area and level of expertise.
• Executing established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions.
• Performing quality checks on financial reporting data submitted by the units, including analytical review of major fluctuations, and liaising with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues.
• Conducting investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction, as necessary, and facilitating the resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy, not only of the existing information, but also for all the information presented

Qualifications for the role

• You must have highly skilled in accounting, financial and cost analysis; preferably in companies in production sector
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in financial sector with a minimum of 3 years seniority
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of excel and SAP
• You are capable of being a team player, analyzing complicated situations, and most important, providing a solution of them
• You are at ease communicating in a second language, preferably English, at a competent level (written and spoken)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related to economic-administrative area
