Roles and Responsibilities:
- Resource Management: Manage and prioritize workshop resources according to current workload and upcoming job requirements.
- Documentation Maintenance: Ensure workshop documentation is maintained in accordance with iQS, FSM, and other relevant databases.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stocks of consumable items and spare parts in conjunction with the Inventory/Asset Manager.
- Equipment Readiness: Ensure rework, inspection, and repair work is carried out to have equipment readily available for stock and allocation to specific jobs.
- Certification and Asset Management: Maintain and update certification and asset folders for rental tools.
- Equipment Preparation: Supervise the preparation of rental, sales, and third-party equipment prior to mobilization to and from location.
- Communication: Liaise with field personnel and third-party suppliers to ensure job requirements are communicated throughout the planning and preparation process.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance, assistance, training, and mentoring to workshop technicians as required.
- Quality and Service Standards: Maintain quality, cost, and service standards by supervising employees.
- Safety Procedures: Perform/assign JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Tool Box Talks, and Permit to Work as required.
- Maintenance Procedures: Follow maintenance and process procedures for applicable products and equipment and complete all relevant documentation.
- Training and Competency: Successfully complete training plans and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines.
- Complex Procedures Supervision: Supervise complex workshop procedures such as SITs (System Integrity Tests) and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) as required.
- Competency Assessments: Implement competency standards for workshop personnel and perform competency assessments.
- Performance Management: Assign goals and objectives, perform performance appraisals, and participate in the selection and interview process for workshop candidates.
- Process Improvements: Implement improvements for workshop processes and procedures related to performance enhancements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Quality Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other work-related tasks as assigned and comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of eight years of oilfield service experience, with expertise in downhole tool operations.
- Experience with completions, liner hangers, or workover tools in a service company.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical documentation.
- Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate.
- Valid H2S Training certificate.
- Valid First Aid / CPR certificate.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related workshop experience.
- Minimum 2 years of field experience.
- Root Cause Analysis experience preferred.
- Project Management experience preferred.
