We are recruiting for one of our clients in the energy sector a Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Study Engineer (M/F), based in Nanterre.
Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Study Engineer (M/F): What will your missions and responsibilities be?
- Prepare corrosion loop reports
- Collect information from various project documentation sources (equipment lists, mechanical datasheets, line lists, etc.) in order to prepare data files for integration into the RBI system
- Collaborate with Process, HSE, and Operations & Maintenance teams to correctly identify degradation mechanisms, corrosion loops, and define inspection policies, plans, and actions
- Perform studies in accordance with the RBI software selected by the client
- Develop inspection plans
- Produce high-quality deliverables with reliable data, consistent assumptions, and proper documentation
- Report weekly on activities to the RBI Lead of the assigned project
What profile and skills are required for this Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Study Engineer (M/F) position?
- Master's degree in Process Engineering, or Materials Engineering / Metallurgy / Corrosion Engineering
- Familiarity with the full set of documentation produced in EPC projects (PDS, MDS, GAD, P&IDs, line lists, piping isometrics, etc.)
- Strong skills and sound judgment in materials/corrosion engineering
- Familiarity with materials selection activities (preparation of MSD and MSR)
- Good knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to RBI methodology (API 580/581), integrity and inspection, materials, fabrication, and inspection of static equipment and piping, as well as RBI software (e.g., Meridium...)
- Professional proficiency in English
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in RBI methodology
