Wood is currently recruiting for a SHE Trainee to join its Iraq business unit focusing on supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems across Oil & Gas operations while gaining practical industry experience.
This is a full-time onsite position in Basra, Iraq, on 6 days on & 1 day off rotation.

What we can offer
Job Purpose
Assist in implementing SHE policies and procedures
- Support site safety inspections and toolbox talks
- Participate in risk assessments and PTW processes
- Assist incident and near-miss reporting and investigations
- Support environmental compliance and waste management
- Maintain SHE documentation and records
- Assist in SHE inductions, drills, and awareness programs

Expected:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Environmental discipline
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred
Experience
2+year experience. Oil & Gas exposure is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic HSE knowledge
- Communication and teamwork skills
- MS Office proficiency
- Willingness to work on site
