Electronics are widely used to enable measurements, data processing, and communication. As the energy industry enters the digital era, the importance of electronics continues to grow. Electronic performance and packaging are sensitive to temperature and environmental conditions. Most electronic technologies are designed for commercial use and rarely for extreme conditions. Due to harsh environments and high temperatures, specific technologies must be selected according to the product's mission profile.

The objective of the Electrical Materials and Processes Engineer is to develop, validate, and maintain electrical technology and to support various projects in the selection and use of appropriate technologies (materials, processes...).

The engineer will be integrated into the ECE organization and will work in close cooperation with the ECE teams, as well as local engineering, manufacturing, and sustaining teams.

Principal Responsibilities:

The mission of the Electrical Material and processes Engineer is:

1. Life-cycle management of chemical products/materials with associated processes

• Survey of materials used for electrical sub-assemblies
• Electrical chemical product database management (Creation and updates of parts)
• Tracking the procurability of electrical chemical products
• Qualification support of new material suppliers
• Material performance: Definition of comprehensive material and technology parameters: Usage and limits

Local (Pune TLM) support for design teams in materials selection and RCA

• Selection of appropriate technology regarding product mission profile
• Selection of materials and processes

Support in the management of electrical standards and procedures

• Definition and drafting of material standards and procedures

Electrical technology watch and training

• Monitor market evolution
• Participate in workshops, conferences...
• Develop and maintain specific training sessions related to material for electrical technologies

Long term: Local characterization and aging tests of materials/chemical products. This will require the development of local capabilities either in-house or externally.
