As a global energy maritime logistics leader and the dedicated and vital logistics arm for ADNOC Group, we are driven to set the highest standards in shipping and maritime operations, pushing boundaries and pioneering new frontiers in sustainability. We are committed to delivering world-class solutions that are innovative and efficient, while always putting safety first

About the Job:

Pathway development across ADNOC L&S's maritime, offshore, and port/logistics infrastructure. Lead the technical development of the L&S Energy Plan and provide forward-looking insight into low-carbon technologies, operational decarbonization levers, and global regulatory trends to support organisational readiness and long-term decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop carbon and energy models for vessels, offshore assets, and port/logistics equipment including duty cycles, electrification scenarios, and shore power/microgrid applications.
  • Produce MACC analyses and scenario modelling to prioritise abatement options by cost, feasibility, safety, and operational impact.
  • Evaluate emerging low-carbon technologies and digital optimisation approaches and prepare strategic recommendations.
  • Provide analytical inputs supporting organisational compliance, reporting, and planning requirements.
  • Lead the technical content of the L&S Energy Plan, including modelling assumptions, abatement curves, technology pathways, and sensitivities.
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, engineering, and planning teams to obtain data, validate assumptions, and align modelling outputs.

Minimum Requirtments:

  • 8-12 years in carbon/energy engineering within maritime and port environments.
  • Hands-on vessel and fleet analytics (EEXI/CII baselining, AER trends, hull/propulsion performance, voyage/operational data).
  • Experience with alternative fuel and efficiency pathways for ships (e.g., methanol, ammonia, biofuels, hybridisation, air-lubrication, propeller/appendage upgrades).
  • Port & logistics decarbonization exposure (RTGs/yard tractors electrification, shore-power/OPS design studies, microgrid/storage concepts).
  • Familiarity with class society rules and technical processes (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS) and IACS guidance; able to prepare robust technical packages for review.
  • Working knowledge of EU MRV analytics and FuelEU/EU-ETS modelling inputs (data preparation and scenario impacts) without performing compliance submissions.
  • Strong MACC, scenario/pathway development, techno-economic evaluation, and NPV/ROI modelling for maritime and terminal projects.
  • Clear technical communication and cross-functional collaboration with ship engineering, port operations, planning and commercial teams.

Professional Certifications:

  • Professional membership/registration in recognised maritime/engineering bodies (e.g., IMarEST, SNAME, chartership/PE status).
  • Training/certificates relevant to maritime decarbonization and carbon accounting (e.g., ISO 14064 GHG, GHG Protocol, ISO 50001 energy management).
  • Class society short courses or endorsements (e.g., DNV/ABS/LR programmes on EEXI/CII, energy efficiency, alternative fuels).
  • Supplementary courses on OPS/shore-power design, hull/propeller performance (e.g., ISO 19030), or port electrification/microgrid modelling.
