Job Description
Leading Hand For Cutter Suction Dredger
Responsibilities
To supervise deck crew and ensure safe, efficient dredging operations.
To coordinate daily tasks such as pipeline handling, anchor positioning, and cutter head support activities.
To assist the Dredge Master and Chief Engineer in executing dredging plans and maintaining production targets.
To monitor equipment condition and report faults or abnormalities promptly.
To ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and conduct toolbox talks.
To actively participate in maintenance of floating pipelines, winches, and anchors.
To guide crew during shifting, spudding, and swing operations.
To maintain effective communication with operators and engine room staff.
To promote discipline and teamwork among crew members.
To ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained on deck.
To support continuous improvement in operational efficiency and safety practices.
Qualifications
STCW training & Crane operators certification.
5-10 years experience on Cutter Suction Dredger.
