Your role and responsibilities

You will be working as a Product Marketing Specialist and Pricing Specialist within the Marketing & Sales function, based in Bangalore, India, for the Electrification Business Area - Installation Products, reporting to the Marketing & Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for ABB's Installation Products portfolio, leveraging both technical knowledge and strategic marketing capabilities to improve product awareness, increase customer adoption, and boost revenue growth. Additionally, you will implement and operationalize marketing and sales processes, improve the sales support infrastructure, and deliver sales training across the assigned region. The role also involves managing and maintaining sales process tools, applying operational excellence methodologies, and providing solutions and services to support multiple countries within the Lead Business framework of the Electrification Business Area.

This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification, Installation Product Division in Bangalore.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, value propositions, pricing, and roadmap planning aligned with market trends and customer segments.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities, applications, and growth areas.
  • Drive sales process excellence by supporting lead-to-opportunity conversion, forecasting, KPI tracking, and resolving bottlenecks to improve sales performance.
  • Lead sales tools deployment and reporting by enhancing opportunity tracking systems, providing actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making for the sales organization.
  • Enable sales effectiveness through training programs, technical support, customer presentations, and development of sales enablement materials such as battle cards and workshops.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5-10 years of experience in sales support, commercial operations, and process development.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end commercial processes, including Opportunity-to-Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience in quotation tool implementation projects, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live support.
  • Working knowledge of sales and commercial tools such as Salesforce, Conga, Order Management Systems (OMS), Business Online, MuleSoft, and SAP (SD & MM modules).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales operations, including maintenance and optimization of commercial tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including working knowledge of cost models, along with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support business decision-making and improve process efficiency.
