This Position reports to:
Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

This role is contributing to ABB Robotics in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support machine and fabrication sourcing activities, including downloading drawing packages, organizing and issuing RFQs, supporting competitive bid processes, and presenting sourcing options to the Lead Buyer.
• Act as an expeditor, supporting Lead Buyers with open order follow‑ups, order confirmations, and coordination with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between Auburn Hills SCM, GBS buyers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across teams.
• Support procurement operations, including converting PRs to POs (standard, blanket, consignment, drop‑ship), managing SNOW tickets, and handling invoicing activities through ReadSoft.
• Analyze and evaluate supplier bids within defined scope to recommend optimal value solutions, while monitoring supplier performance and resolving delivery, quality, or cost issues.
• Align supplier orders with customer and project requirements based on SAP, SOPs, sustainability, quality, delivery, and pricing standards, ensuring efficient execution of procurement activities at optimized transactional cost.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or diploma in mechanical, automobile, industrial production or mechatronics
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in conducting all supply chain activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures
• Knowledge of SAP is must
• Ready to work in night shift
• Work from home and must be based in Bangalore
• Skills in stakeholder management. Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professional
