JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across T.EN Americas, ensuring the seamless management of general ledger processes. Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Consolidations for the Americas, this role collaborates closely with Financial Controllers, Financial Reporting Manager, and Corporate Corporate Consolidations. Office in Paris, with potential light travel.

JOB ROLES:

  • Manage the month-end general ledger process.
  • Ensure timely close of the general ledger on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Ensure the accuracy and approval of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare analysis of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
  • Interact with external and internal auditors on various audit requirements of the group.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of two local and four remote staff.
  • Support business line controllers and their teams with financial reporting and process improvements.
  • Continuously enhance period-end closing procedures by identifying and implementing process improvements, cost-saving measures, and automation opportunities to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop, coach, and evaluate direct reports through performance reviews, training programs, and career development planning.
  • Interact effectively with staff at all levels across departments, demonstrating excellent communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative work style.
  • Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Demonstrated strong background in both accounting and finance including experience with month end close, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, internal reporting, internal controls, fixed assets.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and improve business processes.
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative, commitment and is a self-starter.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Preferred:
  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience in the energy services sector
  • Proficiency with HFM reporting and Oracle ERP.
  • Public accounting or audit experience
