About the Role
Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint a Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for developing and executing channel partner marketing programs to accelerate growth of the lubricants business, with a strong focus on commercial, industrial, fleet, and distributor-led segments. The role partners closely with Sales, distributors, and customers to drive acquisition, retention, and product adoption through high-impact, compliant, ROI-driven marketing activations. Reporting to Marketing Team Lead, this exciting opportunity is based in Brisbane but will require occasional travel to operations across the country.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Channel & Trade Marketing Execution
- Develop and deploy channel and trade marketing activations with priority focus on fleet, agriculture, mining, transport and other Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments.
- Partner closely with sales and supporting teams to design and implement customer- and distributor-led marketing programs.
- Align and localise regional and national lubricants marketing strategies into effective in market execution for distributors and key customers.
Distributor & Customer Enablement
- Support distributor growth programs
- Plan and execute onboarding of new distributors and key commercial customers
- Enable distributors with trade-ready tools
Commercial Activation & Visibility
- Support industry events, trade shows, customer seminars, and technical demonstrations to strengthen brand credibility and drive adoption in C&I segments.
Insights, Measurement & Performance Tracking
- Measure effectiveness of channel and trade marketing programs using market research, distributor feedback, sales data, and available market intelligence, with clear ROI and performance tracking.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, distributors, and customers to identify unmet needs, segment insights, and growth opportunities.
- Provide regular progress updates and performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting learnings and optimisation opportunities.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Monitor and report competitor activities.
- Share insights to inform product positioning, trade programs, and defensive/offensive responses in-market.
Budget, Governance & Compliance
- Manage assigned marketing budget, including vendor management and inventory of marketing materials, ensuring disciplined spend and ROI accountability.
- Steward brand, marketing and regulatory compliance, ensuring all marketing communications are accurate, sector-appropriate, and compliant with legal and corporate standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in marketing, ideally within lubricants, fuels, energy, or petrol & convenience channels, with exposure to B2B or trade marketing environments.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, successfully managing multiple initiatives and priorities concurrently.
- Demonstrated capability to monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, translating insights into practical marketing actions.
- Strong attention to detail and creative judgement, with experience briefing, managing, and collaborating with agencies and designers to deliver high-quality, on-brand marketing assets.
- Well-developed commercial mindset, with a clear focus on ROI, effectiveness, and value creation.
- Solid experience in internal and external stakeholder management, including sales teams, distributors, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
- Strong financial and business acumen, with confidence in interpreting sales data, performance metrics, and market signals.
- Highly collaborative team player with a strong personal drive for performance, accountability, and results.
- Comfortable managing marketing budgets, governance, and compliance, with a clear understanding of brand stewardship and corporate standards.
