Company Description

Our client is a global multi-energy company operating large-scale refining and petrochemical facilities.   • The Kaminho Project developed by TotalEnergies E&P Angola, aims at producing close to 400 Mboe of 2P resources located deep offshore in Angola Block 20/11, a new petroleum province (Kwanza basin). The project budget, sanctioned by COMEX in May 2024 is 10 G$ (CAPEX 6 G$, OPEX 4 G$, 100%). The 4-year project execution is spread worldwide in several engineering centers, workshops, fabrication yards and up to the installation and start-up in Angola. The First Oil is due by mid-2028.
  • The subsea structures scope includes FLETs, ILTs, anchoring piles, Lateral Buckling Mitigations systems,
  • The Job holder is responsible to ensure the delivery of subsea structures , including spools and jumpers by :
    • Having a clear understanding of structures design and interface with other disciplines (eg : SPS, installation)
    • Monitoring in liaison with CONTRACTOR and team the readiness to start structures fabrication ( material ROS dates, procedures, risk assessment), readiness of SPS equipment to be integrated on the structure and constant monitoring of RFLO need dates for offshore campaign versus fabrication Yard progress.
    • Coordinating closely with COMPANY site team the interface with technical teams to deal with NCR, Concessions, etc, ensure smooth reporting to SURF PM and suggest improvements and priorities as required

Context and environment
  • The Kaminho Project Group is a multi-disciplinary structure dedicated to the delivery of the project. Embedded in the TotalEnergies E&P Angola organization, it complies with headquarter processes in terms of methodology and governance.
  • The project is operated by TotalEnergies E&P Angola (40%) though a Joint Venture with Petronas (40%) and Sonangol E&P (20%) under the terms of a Production Sharing Contract signed with the Angolan Concessionaire (ANPG)
  • The position is based in Saint Quentin en Yvelines, with possible missions abroad.


Job Description

Activities

HSE:
  • To promote safety culture within the project and his/her activities. Lead by example to have the team members and colleagues adhering and contributing.
  • To ensure that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he/she is managing or interfacing with. To guarantee the compliance on his/her activities.
  • To comply with the HSE training required for his position
  • To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behavior regarding Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy and HSE rules and regulations
  • To participate actively in fabrication and load out risk assessments.

SURF structures delivery activities:
  • To review design reports of structures, spools & jumpers
  • To review readiness for start of various fabrication activities in the SURF package Scope of Work.
  • To participate in fabrication risk assessments and ensure closure of actions in liaison with HSE lead.
  • To participate to weekly progress meetings with CONTRACTOR and site team.
  • To interface regularly with site team to provide adequate support and guidance, as required.
  • To help in the coordination and preparation of load out and sail away.
  • To gather ‘lessons learnt' and provide feedback to other TotalEnergies E&P entities as required
  • To provide REX along project execution
  • To provide Close out report
  • To maintain an updated expediting register (priorities, critical path items, RFLO/installation need dates) and to anticipate threats with mitigation plans.
  • To coordinate interfaces between structures, SPS equipment, metrology and installation (spools/jumpers) and ensure timely interface clarification, alignment on priorities and closure of open points.
  • To support QA/QC activities: review ITPs, follow-up NDT and dimensional control, witness key hold points when required, and ensure punch list close-out and dossier completeness.
  • To ensure manufacturing record book / data book readiness (CoC, material traceability, welding/NDT records, as-built drawings) and proper handover to installation and operations teams.
  • To prepare and participate in readiness reviews (fabrication start, MRR, load-out/sail-away readiness) and ensure closure of actions with Contractor and Company site team.

Other activities
  • As requested by SURF PM , the job holder shall be appointed to follow up expediting of other packages, as per project needs.
  • To support cross-package expediting activities as requested by SURF PM (e.g., transport & logistics constraints, interfaces with operations/installation, critical documentation), and to propose recovery plans when required.
  • When required, to perform missions to fabrication yards / supplier premises to support key activities (technical clarification, expediting, readiness reviews, load-out preparation).

Reporting:
  • To keep the SURF PM and all parties (as required) informed regarding ongoing activities status in particular on HSE related actions/decisions.
  • To assist SURF Package Manager in reporting, progress monitoring, and answering to queries relevant to activities under his responsibilities.

Key deliverables / KPIs:
  • On-time delivery of structures (spools/jumpers/associated items) versus RFLO and offshore campaign need dates; critical path monitored and recovery actions implemented.
  • Fabrication readiness and progress reporting quality (weekly KPIs, look-ahead, constraints register, action close-out rate).
  • Quality performance: NCR/concession management (number, ageing, closure lead time) and compliance with ITP/hold points.
  • Documentation completeness: Manufacturing Record Book / Data book delivered with zero major outstanding items at sail-away.
  • HSE performance within scope (participation in RA/JSA, actions closure, no repeat events within managed activities).

Accountabilities
  • The job holder is accountable for respecting HSE rules and requirements and for ensuring their application within his/her scope of responsibility, including fabrication yard / supplier activities when applicable.
  • The job holder is accountable for the on-time delivery of subsea structures (including spools and jumpers) in accordance with project schedule (RFLO/offshore campaign need dates) and contractual commitments.
  • The job holder is accountable for monitoring fabrication readiness and progress, identifying constraints and risks, and proposing/implementing mitigation and recovery actions in coordination with Contractor and Company site team.
  • The job holder is accountable for the effective management of interfaces (SPS, metrology, installation/operations, logistics) and for the timely closure of related actions and open points.
  • The job holder is accountable for supporting QA/QC activities and ensuring that quality issues (NCRs, concessions, punch lists) are properly managed, escalated when required, and closed-out in line with project requirements.
  • The job holder is accountable for ensuring that deliverables and documentation within his/her scope (procedures, progress reports, readiness packs, manufacturing record book/data book, as-built) are timely issued, fit for purpose and complete for handover.
  • The job holder shall work closely with the SURF Package Manager, SURF Technical Lead and Company site team, and shall contribute to project reporting, internal/external presentations and workshops as requested.


Qualifications

  • Professional Experience (years): min 15 years in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Experience in similar position (years): more than 10 years in similar role (Deep Water environment project)
  • Level / Diploma: Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Languages: English oral and written mandatory, Oral French advantageous
  • Good communication and negotiations with Contractors and Suppliers are required with frequent participation to technical workshops and committees.
  • Offshore experience and/or Angolan work permit would be a significant plus.
