TotalEnergies has set an ambitious target of reaching 100 GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030. Within this ambition, the Distributed Generation Business Unit (DG), which already signed 2,2GW of projects worldwide, aim to contribute to 6GW by 2030.

TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation (DG), created in 2019 as a fully owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies SE, develops, finances, builds, and operates industrial and commercial solar PV systems worldwide. Typical projects range from 1 MW to 20 MWp, based on an onsite self-consumption PPA model, with possible integration of battery storage solutions.

Scope of responsibility:

• Successfully execute projects in a timely manner, as per the agreed specifications, in the allocated budget, and with 100% compliance to TotalEnergies' standards including HSE.

• Lead the project managers team.

• Reports hierarchically to the local Country Manager and transversally to the Regional Project Execution Director.

Activities

The Head of Project Management is responsible for:

Customer management

• Lead technical communication with the customer during execution and sometimes during pre-sales.

• Deliver the project in line with contract terms and Conditions Precedent.

• Hold regular progress meetings and manage customer acceptance up to COD.

EPC management

• Manage EPC tendering, BOM review, contractor selection, and due diligence.

• Optimize the capex (e.g. firm EPC quote) at pre-sales phase, to be in line with the local market prices.

• Ensure building structure and rooftop are fully compliant with TotalEnergies guidelines, before starting project construction.

• Obtain engineering approvals and secure internal contract validations.

• Negotiate and manage EPC contracts, budgets, delays, bonds, LDs, and contract closure.

• Ensure site readiness, structural compliance, and full adherence to HSE and TotalEnergies' standards.

• Oversee permitting, licensing, monthly budgets, and avoid variation orders.

• Ensure accurate as-built documentation and evaluate EPC performance.

• Conduct site inspections and qualify new EPC contractors.

O&M management

• Coordinate smooth handover to O&M prior to project completion.

• Provide full documentation, PR tests, and as-built PVsyst.

• Support O&M in resolving issues during the EPC defects liability period.

General

• Optimize designs with the Design Center based on site conditions.

• Anticipate risks and ensure insurance, permits, licenses and approvals are in place on time.

• Maintain project data in company tools and drive CAPEX and performance optimization.

• Ensure effective internal handovers and collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and O&M for invoicing, COD, and certificates.

• Contribute actively to the regional PM team and to the country team.

• Interact with teams at APAC Hub/ HQ to share best practices, and improve country projects execution efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Engineering degree is a must (mechanical or electrical), preferably a master in energy or related field.

• Min. 10 years of experience in rooftop solar projects execution and solar engineering.

• Proven track record of project lifecycle management from EPC tendering to the start of operations.

• Leadership experience in managing a diverse team.

• Rigorous, organized and able to prioritize tasks and initiatives.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle complex situations and work under pressure.

• Ability and willingness to travel as assigned.

• Knowledge of solar specific software (Helioscope, Meteonorm, PVSyst) is highly desirable.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
