In which organization will you work as a Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures Engineer (M/F) ?

We are currently recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients in the energy sector, a Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures Engineer (M/F), who will be based in Lyon metropolitan area.

Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures Engineer (M/F) : What will be your missions and responsibilities ?

As a Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures Engineer (M/F), you will be involved in the design and structural analysis of new reinforced concrete and steel structures for industrial sites. Working closely with other relevant trades, you will be involved in drafting preliminary calculation notes, structural justification documents, and load notes, as well as in estimating quantities (concrete and steel structures). Your main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare preliminary design, detailed design, and construction drawings for foundation works, reinforced concrete structures, and steel frames supporting industrial facilities
• Define the methodology for justifying structures
• Draft basic data and structural specifications
• Validate modeling principles, particularly load combinations and weighting factors
• Review, comment on, and validate calculation notes prepared by the client's other departments, design subcontractors, suppliers, and construction companies
• Verify the compliance of drawings prepared based on recommendations derived from design calculations
• Draft the design and/or calculation notes for structures
• Monitor engineering changes to be communicated to construction companies and their subcontractors
• Apply design methods and rules specific to the discipline and/or project (client-specific rules)

What profile and skills are required for this Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures Engineer (M/F) position?

• As an engineering graduate, you have proven experience (at least 5 years) in the engineering and design of buildings in industrial settings, as well as petrochemical and pharmaceutical facilities (pipe racks, trestles, equipment foundations, etc.) on projects in the design and/or construction phase in France or Europe
• You also have proven experience in structural analysis, as well as in supervising contractors (VISA)
• You have advanced knowledge of the Eurocodes (EC0, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC8) and applicable national annexes
• You are proficient in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis and Bentley Staad Pro
• You have proven professional-level proficiency in English and French
• Experience in a construction engineering firm and knowledge of U.S. codes would be a plus
