About the Role

We are looking for a Regional Planning Manager, Aftermarket to lead planning excellence across Europe and South Africa within NOV Rig Technologies.

This role sits at the heart of our aftermarket operations - ensuring repair execution, spare parts availability, and material readiness across a complex, multi-site environment. You will translate demand signals, operational realities, and customer needs into actionable planning strategies that directly impact service performance, revenue delivery, and working capital.

This is a high-visibility role with strong cross-functional exposure, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead aftermarket planning activities across the region, with a focus on repair and spare parts planning
  • Develop and execute planning strategies to support repair execution, service levels, and inventory performance
  • Forecast demand and material requirements using data, installed base insights, and customer opportunity pipelines
  • Manage and optimize MRP parameters (safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing, replenishment strategies)
  • Balance customer service, inventory levels, and working capital efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate supply-demand gaps, risks, and material constraints


Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sourcing, procurement, warehouse, repair, and commercial teams to ensure material readiness
  • Provide visibility on forecast outlook, inventory position, and planning risks to stakeholders
  • Support decisions related to repair workflows, sourcing strategies, and inventory positioning
  • Drive alignment across regional stakeholders in a complex, multi-site environment


Continuous Improvement & Analytics

  • Lead improvements in forecast accuracy, planning processes, and inventory governance
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and performance gaps
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems and analytics tools to enhance decision-making
  • Support development of reporting, automation, and digital planning capabilities


Leadership & Influence

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives in a matrix organization
  • Coach and support team members to strengthen planning capabilities
  • Communicate effectively with both operational teams and senior leadership


Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory management, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and material planning concepts
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multi-site environments


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in aftermarket operations, especially repair and spare parts planning
  • Knowledge of rig technologies or industrial service environments
  • Familiarity with repair processes and material flows
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Power BI, Python, or Snowflake
  • CPIM or equivalent certification
