Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will lead the Service organization for ABB's Critical Power Business Line. You will hold full P&L accountability for Service business performance, translating strategy into decisive execution and delivering ambitious growth targets. Reporting directly to the Sales, Service & Project Execution Leader Switzerland, you will play a key role in accelerating market growth, strengthening long-term customer partnerships, and ensuring consistently high-quality delivery across all service operations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Executing and continuously developing the Service strategy as a member of the local management team, ensuring consistent implementation through cross-functional alignment.
  • Overall accountability for successful project delivery (time, cost, and quality) in accordance with ABB Service standards.
  • Ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction through close collaboration with Sales, Project Management, and other Business Line functions.
  • Leading and developing the regional Service organization (Critical Power) and embedding a strong culture of safety and integrity.


Your qualifications:

  • Master's degree (ideally postgraduate) in Business or Engineering, with a proven ability to confidently combine commercial objectives with technical requirements.
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in UPS and/or data centers, ideally with strong exposure to mission-critical applications (e.g., data centers, semiconductors, infrastructure, utilities).
  • Demonstrated responsibility for results and growth in the service business (revenue, profitability, margin), with the ability to translate growth into sustainable value creation.
  • Proven leadership experience in larger regional service organizations, with measurable success in profitable scaling, performance management, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong matrix and stakeholder management skills: able to align diverse stakeholders and translate global strategies into executable regional commercial plans.
  • High technical credibility in electrical installation, UPS systems, and battery technologies, complemented by a solid understanding of relevant standards/regulations and customer buying behaviors.
  • Data- and digitally savvy: confident with SAP and modern tools to improve pipeline transparency, forecasting accuracy, and customer-centric solutions; fluent in English and native-level German.
