We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager, reporting to the Project Manager to join our Construction & Commissioning team for an onshore project located in Kwinana, Western Australia. This position is a 12 month maximum term contract, working 10 hour days Monday Friday on site, with some trips into the Perth CBD when required.

About The Role

This position will oversee the management of all site activities, ensuring compliance with HSE, quality, cost and milestones. The successful candidate will maintain good relationships with client/PMC and local authorities, provide supervision and technical assistance at manufacturing, fabrication and installation sites, and produce safe, high-quality, cost-effective, timely and environmentally appropriate construction engineering solutions. The Site Manager will coordinate and be the primary focal point for the day-to-day project activities with Operations and Project representatives.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute construction and subcontracting strategies aligned with project scope, contracts and company policy
  • Manage the construction schedules against project milestones and support the development of the master schedule
  • Coordinate overall and discipline construction progress reporting
  • Lead site organisation, workforce coordination and key personnel management
  • Oversee day-to-day construction site operations
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, authorities, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and HSE&S requirements
  • Monitor site performance, activities and cost trends
  • Ensure timely incident reporting to the Project Manager
  • Adjust construction strategies as required during project execution
  • Maintain accurate site records including progress, budget and safety documentation


About You

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Formal training in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) preferred

Skills and Experience
  • Strong onshore plant construction background
  • Extensive experience in a Site Management role
  • A deep understanding of construction processes within a brownfields environment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influential skills
  • Adept at leading functional project teams and managing critical timelines
  • Proven experience proactively managing project cost and schedule
  • Proficient with MS Office and construction management & completion databases
  • 15+ years relevant experience relating to onshore plant construction
