Job Description

• Train and develop the crew in the operation, maintenance and repair of cable laying equipment.
• Report detailed job activities to Barge Superintendent on daily basis.
• Ensure a complete and up-to-date inventory of available spare items/equipment is always maintained.
• Check that all the items and accessories required for the cable laying scope are available onboard the barge and ensure proper usage.
• Keep a well-documented log of all accessories which are mobilized with cable laying equipment.
• Supervise the dismantling and demobilization of the cable laying equipment and its maintenance during the idle period.
• Maintain a log of equipment condition before-and after cable laying activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance works.
• Liaise regularly with the Chief Mechanic to ensure the timely inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Take necessary actions to establish a safe working environment.
• Execute Platform cable Pull in, Deck layout for cable lay, shore pull of export cables.

Compliance in accordance with Company codes and HSE standards.

Qualifications

Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification, or equivalent

Minimum 08 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry
