JOB PURPOSE:
Support the Team Leader in management of the HSE and Asset Integrity systems for Pressure Pumping operations. Provide Safety, Asset Integrity and Environmental advice to Pressure Pumping operations personnel. Implement, Develop and Monitor safety procedures; deliver safety training programs and audit working practices in assigned area, in particular the "Permit to Work" system and all affiliated safe systems of work. Investigate and advise Pressure Pumping operations management and immediate supervisor on all matters relating to Safety, Asset Integrity and Environmental incidents or accidents and to prepare appropriate recommendations to prevent their recurrence in the future.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Conducts safety orientation briefing for all incoming and departing personnel. Briefs all arriving personnel of actions required during Pressure Pumping operations emergencies and ensures their familiarity with their muster station and procedures.
• Assists in the formulation and development of safety programs for Pressure Pumping Operations such as hazard identification programs, pinch point audits, DROPS programs, and working at heights plans etc. this includes ensuring the availability of relevant manuals, hazardous area instructions, safety materials, safety publications, campaigns and technical posters. Brings to the attention of the relevant teams of any unsafe working practices and work sites and recommends improvements.
• Conducts' training sessions in safety principles and practices, which include supervising practical exercises. Develops and coordinates orientation programs aimed at promoting accident prevention among personnel, participates in specific emergency drills for Pressure Pumping operations personnel, and informs the Leadership of the program effectiveness.
• Function as Lifting specialist on the locations where he is assigned.
• Ensures that all items of life saving appliances, safety equipment and facilities are kept in best working condition by assisting in preventive maintenance programs and associated procedures.
• Carries out regular audits of all Safety equipment on board for the purpose of ensuring that the safety equipment is in permanent ready-to-use state. Sets up efficient record-keeping systems andequipment. Recommends to concerned Supervisor the replacement/repair for faulty equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as occupational health, environmental health, biology, chemistry, or engineering.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in safety engineering.
• Obtaining certifications like the NEBOSH Safety Diploma will be required
• Hands-on experience in safety-related roles, will be required
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 5 years' varied experience in HSE, including at least 3 continuous years within an oil/gas industry
environment.
• Computer and Presentation skills.
