Role Overview

This is an Individual Contributor role. The role will perform sourcing, contracting, and contract management activities. The role will support bp's Well Services and Subsurface businesses with a range of sourcing, contracting, post‑contract management, and supplier performance management activities. Working within a defined global process framework, this role will contribute to an enhanced Service Delivery Model around how bp handles costs through third‑party contract agreements and ensures maximum value is achieved.

The Sourcing Manager will align with bp's Code of Conduct, as well as all HSSE requirements, including continual support of HSSE objectives within the business, and taking a professional and principled approach to working with suppliers to ensure visibility, consistency, and fairness. Our procurement and supply chain management principles are always applied within that framework and in the context of relevant laws and regulations!

Key Responsibilities

The Sourcing Manager will lead the execution of high‑complexity sourcing projects and post‑award contract management activities.

Handle all activities as follows, but not limited to:

• Drive integration and alignment across all parts of the business.
• Drive value delivery through effective and efficient category, sourcing, and contracting activities, using the provisions of CMP within the boundaries of relevant laws and regulations, approved budgets, and, where applicable, JV partner and NOC agreements.
• Be accountable for the delivery of the Contracts and Procurement Plan (CPP) with demand data and value opportunities.
• Ensure alignment with the vision, objectives, and priorities for Technology Procurement to support business delivery and close alignment with the business planning process.
• Understand the BP Category Strategy and support the development of sourcing strategies.
• Conduct or support contract negotiations where required.
• Align with all BP policies and procedures.

Case Management

• Create, receive, implement, and continuouslhandlege multiple sourcing and contracting project requests via the Case Management tool.
• Create a psychologically safe environment and build enduring capabilities.
• Mentor and coach junior sourcing practitioners.
• Drive inclusion and innovation through premier protocols
• Collaborate with global stakeholders through regular engagements and work as one team to deliver best value for bp.
• Across activity sets, liaise with stakeholders to ensure the Scope of Work is sufficiently detailed and that sourcing is executed in accordance with all governance and business requirements.

Additional Accountabilities Specific to This Role

• Support the assessment and mitigation of supply chain risk.
• Support the execution of compliance activities, including audit resolution and close‑out of assigned actions arising from Regional External Audits.
• Lead or support the development of MSAs, GAs, and other model contracts.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing.
• At least 3 years of sourcing, contracting, and contract management experience in drilling, well services, subsurface, or equivalent roles in the hydrocarbon industry (an advantage).
• Proven track record of working in high‑performing, multicultural global teams and delivering complex sourcing strategies.
• Strong commercial foresight, negotiation expertise, and supplier relationship leadership skills.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross‑cultural teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior collaborators and drive strategic outcomes.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Ability to work shift hours.
• Experience working with procurement systems such as ARIBA, SAP, and Compass.
