As a Lead Sourcing Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end buying process for an assigned portfolio of goods, ensuring alignment with sourcing policies, technical specifications, and budget requirements. You will serve as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, driving effective communication and execution throughout the procurement cycle. In this role, you will apply industry best practices, understand how sourcing activities connect across functions, and leverage market and competitive awareness to support informed purchasing decisions and deliver value to the business.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Place, track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Manage supplier relationships to support purchase order fulfillment, resolve issues, and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Address order-related challenges, including delivery delays, schedule changes, and other execution risks, while driving timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in ERP systems to support procurement visibility and data integrity.
  • Apply in-depth functional knowledge and strong analytical skills to execute sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Leverage working knowledge of related disciplines to support effective cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced team members, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
  • Lead small-scale projects with limited risk and resource requirements, ensuring completion within quality, timing, and performance expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across stakeholders, helping build alignment and consensus on sourcing-related topics.
  • Convey performance expectations, support team accountability, and handle sensitive issues with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Operate with a degree of autonomy while working within established functional practices, policies, and review processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or adapt procedures and practices, provided outcomes continue to meet required standards for quality, volume, and timeliness.
  • Exercise judgment to solve more complex day-to-day challenges, including proposing solutions outside standard parameters when appropriate.
  • Analyze and prioritize data from multiple internal and limited external sources to support informed operational and sourcing decisions.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Sourcing and/or Supply Chain).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Sourcing and/or Supply Chain experience.
