Job Summary:

Our Carbon Storage business is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Project Manager - Carbon Storage to lead CCUS projects and meet or exceed expected scope, time, cost and quality. This position operates within a remote environment with limited existing company infrastructure. The selected candidate will be fully responsible for project delivery, financial performance, and stakeholder management within a JV structure, while keeping close communication with the leadership in the SLB HQ and the regional product lines with Europe. The Project Manager - Carbon storage has a deep understanding of Co2 injection complexity and ensures that the service and product providers are held to their contractual obligations, and the project plan and execution meets the contractual requirements.

This position requires presence in construction/field sites and remote areas in central Poland ; candidates must be open to spend an extensive amount of time at the sites during the project planning, delivery & commissioning phases.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Act as SLB representative balancing technical credibility, commercial acumen, governance discipline and operational delivery while ensuring strategic stakeholder engagement, and financial accountability in a first-of-its-kind carbon storage project.

• Define the project scope and work breakdown structure, and plan the project scope management while acting as the contract owner

• Develop a detailed project schedule and execution management plan to control timely delivery of the project.

• Estimate the project costs, determine the project budget and ensure costs are controlled during execution.

• Plan and set up project resources, critical suppliers, delivery timelines and contractual obligations.

• Manage project execution to achieve zero quality or Health, Safety and Environment incidents, optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.

• Manage and monitor project communications so stakeholders are informed and service providers possess the information they need to perform services.

• Manage project knowledge and knowledge sharing to improve future design and execution.

• Evaluate and monitor project risks and implement risk responses and change control per the project risk management plan, including risk pot or other monetary incentive schemes.

• Manage project resources, accurately estimate resource requirements and control the project procurement process.

• Close operations and projects by ensuring stakeholders receive deliverables as soon as practicable upon conclusion.

• Manage and monitor SLB and third-party supplier performance.

• Manage local team personnel for project duration.

• Review technical and operational problems and support job incidents, changes, incident response and recovery, including coordination with the individual Product Lines.

• Understand and ensure support to other functional processes and SLB Product Lines with proper handoffs at key interfaces.

• Ensure cooperation and integration across SLB Product Lines.

• Act as the focal point for communication between project team members, SLB Product Lines, third-party suppliers and the customer.

• Oversee customer and contractor management.

• Ensure compliance with SLB Product Lines, customer and country regulations and standards.

Qualifications And Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering ideally in petroleum or petro-technical, master's in project management or MBA are preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive experience leading integrated project related to subsurface evaluation, permitting, well drilling, Co2 injection.

• Extensive operations experience in remote and unestablished locations, with limited existing company infrastructure

• Proven line management experience, including full P&L ownership and accountability for financial performance.

• Demonstrated track record in setting up and scaling operations, particularly in Eastern Europe, including management of integrated, multi-business line environments.

• Strong sales and commercial capabilities, including opportunity development, tendering, negotiation, and contract management

• Experience in third-party sourcing and procurement, given the expected level of vendor involvement in the project

• Solid technical foundation, with a reservoir-focused background and experience in CO₂ injection modelling and operations design, including exposure to both engineering and execution

• Understanding of the complexity of CO₂ injection pilots.

• Strong senior and executive stakeholder management experience, with the ability to represent SLB effectively within the JV structure.

• Robust financial planning, reporting, and accounting capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills in English and polish.

• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and sell the opportunity internally to secure the business lines buy-in.
