The Senior Reservoir Petrophysicist is responsible for delivering advanced integrated reservoir characterization, petrophysical evaluation, and production optimization solutions across the Asia Geozone and global projects. The role combines strong expertise in wireline and drilling log interpretation, reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, production analysis, and field development studies to support reservoir management and hydrocarbon recovery optimization.

This position plays a critical role in bridging subsurface geoscience, reservoir engineering, and digital technologies by integrating petrophysical interpretation with production behavior, dynamic reservoir performance, and AI-driven analytical workflows. The candidate is expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and geoscientists, and contribute to business growth through innovative reservoir evaluation solutions and cross-product line collaboration.
  • Perform advanced petrophysical evaluation using wireline and drilling services logs, including open hole and cased hole interpretation for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
  • Analyze and integrate Gamma Ray, Resistivity, Density, Neutron, Sonic, NMR, Image Logs, Pulsed Neutron, and advanced logging data for reservoir characterization and production optimization.
  • Support reservoir engineering studies including reservoir simulation, material balance, production forecasting, decline curve analysis, pressure transient analysis, and reservoir surveillance.
  • Conduct integrated reservoir studies by combining geology, geophysics, petrophysics, drilling, production, and facility data.
  • Support field development planning, reservoir management, IOR/EOR screening, geothermal/EGS, CCS, and mature field redevelopment projects.
  • Work with modern reservoir and well analysis software such as OFM, IPM Suite (PROSPER, GAP, MBAL), PanSystem, WellFlow, and ECLIPSE applications.
  • Develop competency and technical expertise in ECLIPSE reservoir simulation workflows and dynamic reservoir modeling.
  • Apply coding and digital workflows using Python, SQL, AI/ML tools, and automation engines to improve interpretation efficiency, reservoir analytics, and operational workflows.
  • Support development of AI-assisted interpretation workflows, predictive analytics, and digital reservoir management solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Geoscience, Production, Drilling, and other Product Line teams to identify production enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide technical mentoring, coaching, and guidance to less experienced engineers and geoscientists.
  • Support client engagement activities including technical presentations, proposal preparation, business development, and technology promotion.
  • Contribute to technical publications, industry conferences, and professional organizations.
