KBR is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with Onshore Site experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi for PMC project.
Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering Mechanical is a MUST. Acts as focal point at site for commercial and contracts related issues; interface with
Company's various departments, Contractors, and Consultants to ensure
Company's commercial interests / targets are safeguarded including the smooth
running of the contracts. Coordinates with project team members including proponent departments during
project execution with regards to progress of the construction to provide up to date
status report and coordinate with the concerned project team to ensure construction
works at sites follow project specifications, approved drawings, and overall
standards. Provide contract related cost control advice to Company's construction team and
other project personnel with respect to cost and contractual implications of changes
in specifications during revisions, changes in site working conditions, etc. Ensure
that financial and contractual provisions of assigned contracts are interpreted and
implemented correctly to protect the Company's financial interests. Prepare monthly valuation of work done on various projects in liaison with the
respective project team, based on approved contract rates and alert project team
and/or Company site representative of corrective action to be taken to avert potential
claims situation. Ensure all free-issued materials from the company are reconciled, and excess
materials are returned to the company in their original condition. Evaluate variation proposals submitted by the Contractor related to assigned
construction projects. Provide support to the Contracts Engineer during the evaluation of Contractor's
claims and keep records for any potential claims.
h) Prepare monthly cash flow forecast and accruals for assigned projects and submit
to Finance Control Department.
i) Prepare contract close out and final accounts, includes carrying out final remeasurement of quantities (as applicable) using physical measurements or based
on "as built" drawings.
j) Ensure applicable liquidate damages are applied for the projects that are completed
beyond the contractual completion date.
k) Verification of payment proposals submitted by the Contractors in a timely manner,
negotiate any disputed items with the Contractors, and send the Company response
to the Contractor within the contractual time frame.
l) Proper administration of provisional sums included in assigned construction
contracts, as well as providing cost estimates related to provisional sums using
contract rates if needed.
