ABB Ability Innovation Center hosts one of ABB's largest global engineering and digital solution teams, supporting the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of advanced digital offerings. We are seeking a qualified Asset Performance Management (APM) Specialist - Electrical to deliver and operationalize digital APM solutions for global customers across the energy and process industries.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid.

This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries based in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Lead the end-to-end execution of APM projects, including requirement analysis, solution configuration, deployment, commissioning, and customer onboarding.
• Configure and tailor ABB's APM platform for electrical asset families to improve asset availability, reliability, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, validation, and ensure readiness for operational use.
• Provide customer training, post-deployment support, and ongoing technical services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams such as engineering, domain experts, data science, UI/UX, product management, and service teams.
• Contribute to product development cycles by identifying issues, raising defect reports, and recommending enhancements based on field insights.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process or energy industries.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of electrical assets in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Power, or Specialty Chemicals sectors.
• Strong understanding of asset maintenance practices including RCM, CBM, and reliability methodologies and Familiarity with deployment of digital solutions on cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Working knowledge of RHEL, container-based edge systems, Windows administration, network architecture, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Proficiency with industrial automation systems and communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, IEC 61850, HART, and Profinet.
• Experience with asset modeling, requirement interpretation, and coordination with R&D teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
