Your role and responsibilities

You will be Responsible for being an interface between Procurement and Engineering team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.

This role is contributing to the Smart Buildings in Bangalore. Main stakeholders are Procurement, Engineering, Quality & R&D Function

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Managing the ordering and on-time delivery of the prototype parts directly with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.
• Being responsible for procurement Gate Model activities, arranging project procurement gate meetings as required, and creating and maintaining project related to procurement documents.
• Estimating initial cost and quality and achieving product cost and quality targets.
• Working to optimize cost and quality at all stages of development projects, including investment and test cost.

Qualifications for the role:

• Highly skilled in working with Gate Model and Agile Methodology in product development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required.
• Demonstrated experience in New Product Development (NPD) in Low Voltage product segments.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept to commercialization.
• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration including design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Specialization in Plastic Molding and Stamping processes.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate, meet project timelines, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
