This position will support the Contracts group handling operations in the Americas and Europe.
The Contracts team, located in Buenos Aires as part of a global group with offices in Houston, London, and Singapore, provides support to Midstream operations by managing the preparation and review of trade contracts (crude, refined products, NGLs), as well as communications with third parties partnering in the Oil and Gas industry.
Gradually building a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end processes in scope to support a business environment in constant change will be key to ensure the Analyst's success in this role.
In this position, the Analyst will have the opportunity to:
Collaboratively work with the North America and London front offices -including Traders, Commercial, etc.- and mid-office personnel -including Credits & Risk, Legal, etc.-, as well as partners in back office -Finance/Accounting-.
Walk through a learning journey about the uniqueness of the Supply and Trading business, including industry standards and products' flow through diverse supply systems and methods of transport.
Exercise/Improve communication and building relationship skills to meet customers' high expectations.
Partner with multiple functions and more experienced analysts to deliver exceeding results in a very dynamic business.
Apply his/her critical thinking to identify poorly defined processes/steps and propose solutions as well as drive to action.
Main responsibilities of the position are:
Contribute to and assist the workgroup in following all Corporate and Compliance policies and standards of business practice. This support consists of preparation of contracts that correctly describe agreed to terms, containing language consistent with tax, credit, and legal standards, and protecting Chevron from unnecessary financial and legal exposure; ensuring the workgroup follows all Corporate and Compliance policies and standards of business practice.
Strive to have a solid understanding of business, system terminology and legals frameworks to deliver insightful contract analysis that proactively mitigates risk and protects enterprise value.
Solid engagement with stakeholders while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Credit, Tax, and others to enable seamless, end-to-end commercial execution.
Continuously seek optimization opportunities throughout processes.
Support new business model implementations towards lower carbon, as well as new companies' acquisitions and integrations.
Perform team activities such as:
Mailbox handling.
Contracts management (new contracts, amendments, discrepancy resolution).
Metrics and Internal reporting.
