Company Description

Our partner is an international marine works and offshore engineering company specialized in complex maritime infrastructure projects. As part of a major wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation project in Malmö, Sweden, the company is responsible for the design and installation of a 4 km seawater intake/outfall structure. The project is currently in the FEED phase and requires strong technical expertise in marine operations, offshore installation methods, regulatory compliance and multidisciplinary coordination.

Job Description

Reporting to the project teams, the Methods Engineer will be responsible for preparing, structuring, and optimizing execution methods to ensure successful project delivery in line with technical, HSE, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Main responsibilities include:

• Developing construction and execution methods in coordination with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Preparing method statements, installation plans, work sequences, technical notes, and execution documentation.
• Analyzing technical, logistical, and operational project constraints.
• Contributing to the definition of required manpower, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Acting as an interface with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting the preparation and follow-up of execution schedules.
• Identifying operational risks and proposing suitable technical solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable HSE, quality, and safety standards.
• Supporting site teams during the implementation of approved methods.
• Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement of execution methods.

Qualifications

The ideal profile will have:

• Proven experience as a Methods Engineer, Construction Engineer, Installation Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar.
• Experience in marine works, offshore, port infrastructure, subsea, civil engineering, or complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to prepare clear, structured, and practical method statements and execution documents.
• Good understanding of site constraints, planning, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of planning software, CAD, or technical execution tools would be an advantage.
• Professional fluency in English; Swedish language skills would be a plus.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
• Strong analytical skills, rigor, autonomy, and organizational ability.
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to provide practical and effective technical solutions.
• Availability to be based in Malmö or to travel regularly to site depending on project needs.
