The A&P Mechanical Instructor - Coordinator / B1 will support a major H145 helicopter maintenance, training, and operational support program in Saudi Arabia. The position is focused on delivering practical and theoretical mechanical maintenance training for H145 maintenance personnel, with emphasis on airframe, powerplant, mechanical systems, inspection standards, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting practices, documentation discipline, and on-the-job training supervision.

The role combines three main functions: technical instruction, OJT coordination, and mechanical maintenance training supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for both fresh maintenance technicians and experienced technicians requiring platform-specific or advanced maintenance training.

The position requires strong H145 mechanical maintenance experience, formal instructor qualification, solid knowledge of approved maintenance data, and the ability to translate operational maintenance experience into structured training material, practical evaluations, and documented competence development.

The A&P Mechanical Instructor - Coordinator / B1 will develop, deliver, coordinate, and evaluate H145 mechanical maintenance training in accordance with approved training standards, OEM documentation, project procedures, and customer requirements.

The instructor will provide classroom and practical instruction covering H145 airframe and powerplant systems, including engines, transmission, rotor systems, flight controls, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, landing gear, environmental systems, mechanical assemblies, servicing, inspection practices, troubleshooting, component replacement, and general maintenance procedures.

The role includes developing structured OJT programs, lesson plans, technical presentations, practical exercises, training handouts, assessment tools, evaluation checklists, and training records. The instructor will directly supervise technicians during practical training, monitor their progress, assess competence, and ensure that all OJT activities are properly documented.

The position also requires coordination with maintenance management, quality control, training departments, B1/B2 technicians, supervisors, and customer representatives to ensure that training content is aligned with operational requirements, safety standards, maintenance procedures, and aircraft availability.

The instructor will support the development of maintenance personnel by ensuring they understand correct use of aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, service bulletins, tooling requirements, inspection standards, defect reporting, technical log entries, and maintenance release documentation.

Where required, the instructor may also support technical writing activities, including preparation or review of training manuals, maintenance procedures, work instructions, assessment forms, and technical guidance documents.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver H145 mechanical maintenance training for fresh technicians, experienced technicians, and advanced maintenance personnel.
• Provide theoretical and practical instruction on H145 airframe, powerplant, rotor, transmission, hydraulic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, servicing, and mechanical systems.
• Develop OJT curriculum, practical training plans, task-based assessments, evaluation checklists, and competence tracking records.
• Supervise technicians during OJT activities and practical maintenance training.
• Evaluate trainee performance and verify practical competence against approved training objectives.
• Develop teaching aids, including presentations, charts, diagrams, handouts, practical exercises, technical notes, and training slides.
• Coordinate training schedules, classroom sessions, hangar-based training, aircraft access, tooling needs, and trainee availability.
• Maintain accurate training records in line with customer policies, project requirements, and aviation training standards.
• Ensure all training content is aligned with approved H145 maintenance manuals, OEM documentation, safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Train personnel on the correct use of AMM, IPC, CMM, WDM, service bulletins, technical instructions, work cards, and maintenance records.
• Support standardization of maintenance practices across the B1 mechanical team.
• Promote safe working practices, FOD prevention, human factors awareness, tool control, documentation accuracy, and maintenance discipline.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, quality control, training management, and customer representatives on trainee progress and training needs.
• Support preparation, review, and improvement of technical training material, work instructions, and maintenance-related documentation.
• Provide feedback on technician capability gaps and recommend additional training or mentoring actions.
• Ensure training activities are documented and supported by official records.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

The candidate must hold a minimum diploma in aircraft maintenance or a recognized aviation maintenance training program in the relevant mechanical maintenance specialty of at least two years. An EASA Part-66 B1, FAA A&P, GACA, CAA, or equivalent aircraft maintenance license is preferred.

The candidate must have at least five years of proven H145 maintenance experience in a military or civilian environment, with strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, airframe, powerplant, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation. The candidate must also have at least three years of proven experience as a technical instructor in aviation maintenance.

The candidate must hold an H145 type rating issued by an approved organization or OEM-recognized training provider. Formal instructor qualification or an instructor course certificate from a recognized organization is required.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Minimum diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or recognized aviation maintenance training program in the relevant specialty of at least two years.
• Minimum 5 years of proven H145 maintenance experience in military or civilian aviation.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a technical instructor in aircraft maintenance.
• H145 type rating from an approved organization or OEM-recognized training provider.
• EASA Part-66 B1, FAA A&P, GACA, CAA, or equivalent aircraft maintenance license is preferred.
• Instructor qualification or instructor course certificate from a recognized organization is required.
• Proven experience developing and delivering OJT training curriculum for fresh maintenance technicians and experienced maintenance technicians.
• Proven experience preparing technical teaching material, including lesson plans, charts, diagrams, handouts, presentations, slides, practical exercises, and assessment tools.
• Experience directly supervising new maintenance technicians during practical training and training evaluations.
• Experience maintaining training records in accordance with customer policies, training procedures, and aviation quality requirements.
• Previous experience in a technical writing position for at least 3 years is preferred.
• Level-7 qualification or equivalent senior-level qualification in the relevant logistics, maintenance, or training specialty is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of H145 airframe, powerplant, rotor, transmission, hydraulic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, servicing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, service bulletins, work cards, inspection records, technical logs, tooling control, and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to assess technician competence and provide structured feedback.
• Ability to coordinate with maintenance, training, quality control, logistics, and customer representatives.
• Strong communication, classroom delivery, mentoring, and practical demonstration skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and standard office automation tools.
• English language level of minimum IELTS 6.0 or equivalent for non-native speakers, or English level to be assessed during interview.
• All qualifications, licenses, type ratings, certificates, training records, experience, and CV claims must be supported by official documentation.
